If you are in need of clock service please read this to find out how this service is the difference between having it done right once or getting an expensive temporary repair that may not even work after you paid top dollar. First, I'm a full service repair including works, glass and cabinet. If you are familiar with getting clock repair done you know it's big money and many of you will know it doesn't always work right. The service offered here is state of the art, not old school like all the shops are using. The claim of repair men and even the clock manufacturers is that you must have your clock oiled every one to three years. They also claim a clean and oil every five to 10 years. This can cost you well over $100.00 per visit and many times the service is less than OK. I worked for these shops and have repaired many clocks after they have just gone through costly service at another shop. I'll bore you with only one story than on to the ad. One customer had her $5000 Swiss clock completely overhauled for $250.00. To her surprise when she got home it wouldn't run. This service was done by the shops senior expert in full service repair. I was at the shop when she returned with her non-working clock. Can you guess what happened. Hem and a Haw by the shop owner who turned to me. I told the customer I'll do it right and free because she had already been through enough. I fixed the clock right and delivered it personally. I set it up and charged $0. This was years ago. I've since repaired her sister's swiss clock and they're both running perfect to this day.
I don't just fix a clock, I fix it permanently and right. I use state of the art lubrications and processes developed by me through research. I'm a research technician at one of the worlds very well known research labs. This gave me access to the latest technologies. I simply applied these techniques to clock repair which I've been doing for years. Your clock will run, resist dirt, be protected, and lubricated permanently. It will also be balanced and timed using a high tech measuring device that goes beyond human capability. If your clock has meaning or you plan on leaving it to someone please let me take care of it right. I hate to see something so precious be abused, causing wear and damage that can be avoided. My price is more than competitive with the typical shop and it will save you big on future service needs. That's right, you should never have to have your clock done again. I've done all types of clock from modern to over 200 years old. From cuckoo clocks to Grandfather clock. Electric clocks and wind up clocks. They're all working great. I also have museum quality wood restoration available for all antiques. This is done by a museum employee who's an expert in wood work and restoration keeping the patina and finishing wood using the original old techniques and materials. Send me a note if you're interested in this service. In the pictures you'll see a 150 year old Grandfather clock brought out of a barn after 40 years in storage, restored and repaired, both the movement and cabinet. It's working perfect and is the spot light of the customers house. It is a true museum piece. I also care for a 200 year old Grandfather clock that's like the one seen in the white house. Unfortunately I fixed it so good it hasn't need further service. Enough of that.
This ad is for one permanent clock repair. It includes restoring the clocks good running condition even if it's currently not running, cleaning the movement, applying a metal protectant and permanent lubrication, leveling, balancing and timing. Some clocks due to design vary from day to day so they inherently do not keep perfect time. I guarantee to within one minute per day or better in most cases depending on the clock. Just a temperature and humidity change can effect a clocks ability to keep time. I can only accept clocks that can be shipped. The customer is responsible for all shipping costs. I'll ship the clock back to you in the same box and packing it arrives in so pack it well to avoid damage. I can not be responsible for damage in shipping but packed well this shouldn't be an issue. I also do custom glass work. In the case of a reverse painted glass I can replace the glass but not the painting. This is not covered in this ad along with broken springs or parts but can be done for an additional charge. My price will beat any competitor. The pictures show one of the stained glass windows my wife and I made for our home. Beat up broken clocks and clocks that no repair person would accept will be shipped back at the customers expense. This is meant to cover shops sending me the clocks they don't want to do themselves. Although I can fix what many clock repair persons couldn't, sometimes in extreme cases this would take many hours. I'm willing to accept these but the price would need to be negotiated.
If you need your clock serviced get the best possible at a great price. A one year warranty on parts and service is included with you invoice. Repeat customers will receive a 10% discount. I've been a licensed business for years and you will receive my business card with phone number and email for any questions you may have about your clock. This service is available world wide as long as import / export is allowed. Hope to hear from you soon and thanks for looking.
