Attention Members,
If you collect, own, or repair watches or components containing radium,you are encouraged to review the linked document issued by the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and issue comment as instructed by the NRC prior to September 11, 2006.
The document, Nuclear Regulatory Commission 10 CFR Part 20, 30, 31 et al. Requirements for Expanded Definition of Byproducts Material;
Proposed Rule, details proposed regulation of timepieces and parts containing radium, as well as limits to the number of such watches that
may be repaired per year without special licensing.
