Hi! This may be a long read, but I do have a pertinent question. I was given a Rolex Daytona for giving a guy a ride home one night. I was very uncomfortable with receiving this "gift" but accepted to avoid offense. When I returned home, I did some research, and surprise! It's a fake. The engraving on the back of the case was the big tip-off. Needless to say, I was far more comfortable possessing this watch at that point. It seems to be a decent piece, and certainly is attractive.
Now to my question. The minute hand is loose, like it just needs to be pushed back on to the "post." It wasn't like that when I received it, but became loose about a year later. I'm hesitant to take it for repair, because I know it's a fake, and wish to avoid the ensuing ridicule. Is there some way to fix this myself? I have nothing other than gas invested in it, and don't want to toss it in the trash.
Thanks in advance for any assistance.
John.
