A Rolex wristwatch that belonged to the former emperor of Vietnam sold for a record $235,000, the auctioneers said Tuesday.

The Phillips auction house did not identify the buyer of the 1952 Oyster Perpetual Rolex, sold Monday in Geneva. The watch is one of three known to have been made with a black dial and diamond indexes, Phillips said.
